What to expect at your appointment
1. Consultation and skin analysis
Skin assessment to confirm AFT is appropriate for your skin tone and concerns. We photograph and discuss your goals before any light treatment begins.
2. Cleansing facial
Your therapist starts with a deep clinical cleanse and gentle exfoliation to prepare your skin to respond optimally to the light treatment.
3. AFT Dye-SR light treatment
Calibrated light pulses are applied across the face. Most clients describe the sensation as a warm flick, similar to a light elastic band. The light targets only the unwanted pigment, leaving surrounding skin unaffected.
4. Calming and hydrating finish
Soothing serums, a hydrating mask, and high-SPF protection. Your skin will look slightly pink, similar to a mild flush, which settles within an hour or two.
5. Recovery and results
No real downtime. Brown spots may darken briefly over the next 48 hours before flaking away. Redness reduces gradually across one to two weeks. We schedule your next session at three to four weeks.
